Group Classes and Injury Considerations
We’re all about the power of moving together—it’s inspiring, uplifting, and just plain fun. But we also know that no two bodies are the same, especially when you’re working through an injury. Group classes are awesome, but they might not always give you the one-on-one attention you need to modify safely.
So, if you’re dealing with an injury, we recommend pressing pause on group classes until you’re feeling good and ready to jump back in.
Start with a Private 1:1 Session
If you’re working through an injury or need a little extra guidance, booking a private session is the way to go. Here’s why:
We’ll tailor everything to your needs.
You’ll learn modifications that work for you.
You’ll feel confident and ready when you’re ready to join a group class.
Feeling Confident in Modifications?
If you know your body and feel comfortable adapting exercises for your injury, you’re welcome to join group classes. Just keep in mind, we can’t always offer hands-on corrections in these sessions—so your self-modification game needs to be strong!
Your Safety Comes First
By starting with private sessions and easing into group classes, you’ll set yourself up for success. We’re here to make sure you feel confident, safe, and ready to crush your Pilates journey.
Who Should Consider Private Sessions First?
If you’re managing any of the following, private sessions are your best bet to start:
Recent injuries (we’re talking sprains, strains, or minor fractures)
Chronic pain that won’t quit
Back issues like sciatica or herniated discs
Joint problems (hello, arthritis or tendonitis)
Post-surgery recovery (your body’s still healing, and we want to respect that)
Rehabilitation for injuries
Heart conditions that need some extra TLC
Orthopedic concerns like fractures or osteoporosis
Neurological conditions affecting movement
Pregnancy—your changing body deserves a tailored approach
Balance or stability issues (no wobbles here!)
Any other pre-existing conditions where you need extra attention
We’re here to support you, guide you, and cheer you on every step of the way. Let’s get you feeling strong, safe, and ready to move!
