COMMON ASKED QUESTIONS
Pilates is a system of exercises designed to build strength, flexibility, coordination, and control of the body.
Originally called Contrology by Joseph Pilates, the work is meant to strengthen the entire body evenly, improve posture, support the spine, and create efficient, purposeful movement. The exercises are performed with precision, breath, and focus.
When practiced consistently, it builds a strong, balanced body that moves well in everyday life.
Classical Pilates is the original system of exercises developed by Joseph Pilates, taught in the order, structure, and method he intended.
The work follows a specific sequence on the Mat and apparatus, designed to build the body evenly, support the spine, and develop strength, flexibility, and control together. Each exercise prepares the body for the next.
Classical Pilates emphasizes precision, breath, flow, and control rather than variations or trends. The goal is not to modify the work endlessly, but to improve the body so it can perform the exercises as designed.
When practiced consistently, Classical Pilates creates a strong, balanced body that moves efficiently.
Our studio is located at 1070 Lakeshore Drive, across from the Sicamous.

Ideally, 3–4 times per week.
Pilates works best when it’s practiced consistently. The exercises build on one another, and regular practice allows the body to learn, adapt, and improve over time.
That said, any Pilates is better than none. Even 1–2 sessions per week can make a meaningful difference, especially when done with focus and intention.
Consistency matters more than intensity. Show up regularly, do the work, and the results will follow.
We teach Classical Pilates, rooted in Joseph Pilates’ original work.
At the moment, we are waiting for our full equipment to arrive, and classes will be taught on Classical Pilates mats.
Once fully equipped, our studio includes authentic Classical Pilates apparatus including the large pieces:
Mat, Reformer, Wunda Chair, Cadillac, Arm/Baby Chair, High (Electric) Chair, Ped-o-Pull, and Ladder Barrel.
We also use a full range of small apparatus, such as:
Spine Corrector, Small Barrel, C-Shaper, Foot Corrector, Toe Corrector,Sandbag, Magic Circle, Breathacizer, and Airplane Boards.
What Sets Us Apart
Deeply Trained Instructors
Our teachers aren’t fast-tracked. We come from years of study, mentorship, and ongoing education, because this work takes time to truly understand and teach well.
Rooted in the Original Method
What we teach comes from the classical system. There’s structure, order, and intention behind everything we do.
Full-System Pilates
We don’t rely on one piece of equipment. Mat and apparatus are all part of the work, used together to build a stronger, more capable body.
You Learn the Work (Not Just Follow It)
You won’t get lost in a room copying along. We teach you how to think through your practice so it actually sticks. You’re here to understand your body, so you move better when you’re walking, hiking, lifting, living.
No Trends. No Shortcuts.
No mashups. No fluff. No pulsing or calorie burns
Built for Real Life (this is what he’d add)
This isn’t about getting through a class.
It’s about building a body that feels strong, capable, and reliable, out there in the real world.
Strength + Mobility Together
Not stretching here, strengthening there.
Your body needs both, at the same time, working together.
CLASS CREDITS & MEMBERSHIPS
1 credit
We’re unable to extend or pause credits.
We intentionally keep our expiry windows long to allow flexibility around travel, seasonal changes, illness, and life. Because of this, all passes expire as scheduled and are not extended or paused.
PMR tip: If your schedule feels unpredictable, a smaller pass or drop-in option is often the best fit.
Ye, you're welcome to start in any of our beginner options 🤍
That includes Foundations or Stretch (our slower-paced class).
You can also join our 6-week Foundations series, or book a private session before moving into higher-level classes.
If you’re not sure what the best fit is, we’re always happy to help, just reach out before booking and we’ll guide you in the right direction.
