Exciting News: Introducing Pilates Wunda Chair Classes Starting This September!

Hello Pilates Enthusiasts,

We’re beyond excited to announce that starting this September, we’re adding Pilates Wunda Chair Classes to our schedule! 🎉 These classes are designed to bring you a whole new dimension of Pilates, blending the personalized attention of private sessions with the energy and camaraderie of small group classes.

What Is the Wunda Chair?

Wunda Chair Pilates Classes

The Wunda Chair, created by Joseph Pilates, is a compact yet powerful piece of equipment. Imagine a simple chair, but with a twist—it features a padded seat and a pedal with adjustable springs. These springs can be set to different resistance levels, allowing you to perform a wide range of exercises. Whether you’re sitting, standing, or balancing on the chair, it offers a versatile workout that’s both efficient and effective.

Why Wunda Chair Classes?

We’re introducing these classes to fill a crucial gap between our group mat classes and one-on-one sessions. We know that not everyone can commit to frequent private sessions, so these small group classes—limited to three participants—offer a more accessible way to get personalized attention. The Wunda Chair will help you use resistance to enhance your mat practice, all while benefiting from a small group class.

The Unique Challenge of the Wunda Chair

The Wunda Chair provides a distinct challenge compared to other Pilates equipment. With exercises that require partial body contact with the chair, you’ll engage your core and balance in new ways. Unlike the Reformer, where you’re fully supported, the Wunda Chair demands more from your stabilizing muscles, making it a fantastic tool for improving balance and body awareness.

Exercises on the chair often involve balancing on one foot or adjusting your position in relation to the pedal, which adds a layer of complexity and demands greater coordination. It’s a safe and effective way to push your limits, provided you work with experienced instructors. (wink wink)

Who Can Benefit from the Wunda Chair?

The Wunda Chair is versatile enough to suit various needs. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing physical limitations, or looking for a new challenge, the chair can accommodate you. It helps build support for the knees and ankles, as well as improving balance.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Does a Wunda Chair Class Look Like?

Curious about what a Wunda Chair class entails? With countless chair workout routines out there, we understand it can be challenging to visualize what to expect. To give you a clearer picture, we’ve found a short video from an incredible instructor that showcases a typical Wunda Chair class.

Why Isn’t My Membership Valid for These Classes?

These specialized Wunda Chair classes require distinct training beyond the standard mat certification. The intimate setting of just three participants per class allows for nearly private instruction, which justifies the separate pricing structure.

Can I Use My 10-Card Pass for These Classes?

Not for these classes. However, if you already have a 5-class pass for mat sessions, it can be used. Otherwise, you can purchase a separate 5-class pass specifically for the Wunda Chair classes.

Will These Classes Be Offered at Different Times or on Other Days?

We’re starting with the current schedule and will expand based on demand.

Is There a Waitlist If the Class Is Full?

Absolutely! If a class is full, you can join the waitlist, and we’ll notify you as soon as a spot opens up.

We can’t wait for you to experience the Wunda Chair’s unique benefits. Whether you’re looking to deepen your Pilates practice, enhance your strength, or explore new challenges, these classes are the perfect addition to your routine.

See you in class!
